Teleco extends availability of Steril-Air Pro system to more models
The UV-A LED and photocatalytic air-purification technology, already successfully used in Ultra Comfort systems, is now also available for Silent 3 and DualClima air conditioners.
Lugo di Ravenna (29 August 2026) – Following the positive response to Steril-Air Pro on its Ultra Comfort air conditioners, Teleco is extending the availability of its air-purification system based on UV-A LED and photocatalytic technology. From this season, Steril-Air Pro will also be available as an optional feature on the Silent 3 5900H, Silent 3 8100H, DualClima 8400H, and DualClima 12500H rooftop air conditioners, providing motorhome and campervan users with an even healthier and more comfortable onboard environment.

UV-A and photocatalytic technology for cleaner air in complete safety
At the heart of Steril-Air Pro is a UV-A LED device incorporating photocatalytic technology. This solution uses a specific wavelength of ultraviolet light to activate an oxidation process capable of breaking down organic contaminants and volatile compounds present in the air.
Unlike conventional technologies based on ozone or mercury lamps, the Teleco system can operate continuously in the presence of people and animals. It uses no chemicals and has extremely low energy consumption. The UV-A LEDs also switch on instantly and offer an operating life of between 20,000 and 30,000 hours, two to 10 times longer than conventional mercury lamps.
The combined action of UV-A LEDs and photocatalysis helps reduce viruses, bacteria, organic contaminants and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It also acts on substances such as formaldehyde and benzene, while helping to eliminate unpleasant odours that can develop inside the vehicle. Tests carried out by accredited laboratories have also certified a high level of effectiveness in reducing viruses and bacteria, including SARS-CoV-2.
Continuous purification with no maintenance required
One of the main strengths of Steril-Air Pro is its ability to operate 24 hours a day, providing continuous air purification during normal onboard activities, both while travelling and when parked.
As the system is fully integrated into the air conditioner, it does not require the periodic replacement of dedicated filters or any specific maintenance procedures. This ensures reliable, long-lasting operation throughout the product’s entire service life.
Available on Telair’s main rooftop air conditioners
Steril-Air Pro can be specified as an optional feature when ordering any of the four main models in the Telair range:
Silent 3 5900H, designed for motorhomes and campervans between 5 and 6.5 metres in length, with a cooling capacity of 5,900 BTU.
Silent 3 8100H, ideal for vehicles between 6 and 7.5 metres in length, with a cooling capacity of 8,100 BTU.
DualClima 8400H, intended for motorhomes between 6.5 and 8 metres in length, offering 8,400 BTU of cooling capacity and increased airflow.
DualClima 12500H, the flagship model in the range, designed for recreational vehicles up to 10 metres long and delivers a cooling capacity of 10,800 BTU.
All models are equipped with a heat pump, allowing the air conditioner to be used as an efficient heating system during spring and autumn and improving onboard comfort in the transitional seasons.
